Miranda lodge is quality B&B style accommodation currently rated 3.5 stars by the NRMA. Our rooms all have colour TV, private bathroom, tea & coffee facilities and a fridge. For your comfort all are centrally heated in winter and cooled in summer. Parking is free and off- street at the rear of the property. We have either double or single beds available with some larger family rooms sleeping up to five. English style cooked breakfast is served in our dining area each morning with fresh brewed coffee and tea, juices, cereals, yoghurt, variety of toast and toppings and your choice of cooked dishes. Every breakfast is freshly cooked to order. We are located at 534 Northbourne avenue Downer which is just 4 km north of the GPO, and a short walk to the Dickson shopping centre, which boasts some of Canberra's best restaurants, a licensed club, supermarket and a whole range of shops. Also within walking distance are Yowani country club, ACT Netball , Hockey & Tennis Centres , Exhibition Centre (EPIC), Kamberra Winery & the Racecourse. Just a short drive are some of Canberra's major tourist attractions including , the Planetarium, Cockington Green(miniature English village), Bruce stadium (home to the ACT Brumbies and Canberra Raiders), Australian Institute of Sport, Parliament House, National Art Gallery, National Museum of Australia & the Australian War Memorial. Public buses stop 50 metres from our front door and take approximately 10 minutes to the city. Being local Canberra people we have an extensive knowledge of the city and surrounding area and are more than happy to assist in any way possible.
